Radio Speakeasy April 21, 2012

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen.  Starting off the show this week is a short tribute to Scott Ricciuti, a very talented local musician who died in a car accident earlier this month.  You can  check out more of his music on Itunes and Amazon Music.   

Did you know The Bangles released a new album last year? Well hell, neither did we.. until a few weeks ago.  So there is a track from that later in the show.  What else is there to hear here?  Screaming Joe Neal, The Lazy Cowgirls, Eddie and The Hotrods, Angry Johnny & The Killbillies, Chocolate Watch Band, new music from JJ Rassler and Thee Cuban Heels, and finally ending things out with some music fromJames Keyes.

Cranking up the Wayback Machine

Hi folks, yet again it's been months between shows.  Finally out of the can, this edition of Radio Speakeasy features mostly tunes from the 1950's, 1960s, and couple from the 1970s.  Some of the artists that pop up include, The Kinks, Marmalade, Connie Francis, Ronnie Dawson, The Shangrilas, and more.  It's available for online streaming or download here

Live Show From Saturday Night

I've been doing more of the live netcast on WURN.net than pre-recorded editions of "Radio Speakeasy". It's sort of the best of both worlds in that I get the immediacy of doing a live show, while making the show available for those who missed the live netcast. This past Saturday was just under 4 hours of music. It's divided into 2 parts that you can either stream, or download for listening when you are off-line. Interested? Radio Speakeasy is a program on the Wormtown Underground Radio Network or WURN. That site previously could be found at wurn.org, however the owner of that site made a decision to without warning erase all files from the server. We will be back though, except it will be at http://wurn.net. We currently are redesigning the site to be a bit more easy on your eyes and browser and hope to have everything up and running at our new home at http://wurn.net within the next few weeks. Stay Tuned.
